Crystals For Healing, Abundance & Balancing - Wellness Coach

CrystalsCrystals, stone, minerals are live energy forms that bring enrichment to whatever they are near, they have been used for centuries for healing, wealth status, jewelry, breast plates, and many other uses. Crystals value can be traced back to Biblical times and all thru the Roman Empire.

Crystals today are also used for many different reasons, the most popular of course is jewelry, and we love to wear gorgeous jewelry made out of diamonds, rubies, sapphires and so on. What is very interesting is that these crystals hold special energies that enhance areas in our bodies and minds and create different ways of balancing out the energies in our bodies.

Why does this happen…., the tiny particles of minerals in our bodies carry a certain frequency which will resonate with those particles in the stones and this will make your body and mind create a biochemistry reaction. The beauty of this is that it is subtle and natural working with your body for healing and balancing; when the stones are worn and or kept very close by an individual it can accelerate healing and balancing of the mind, body and soul.

How to Grow Your Wellness Network Marketing Business Faster!

wellness businessWhen you got started in your wellness network marketing business you probably wanted to try the products first. Your sponsor probably told you about the amazing results they had using the wellness products. Like most, you probably are or were facing some sort of healthcare challenge.

It is true that we are in a health crisis. People are getting sicker everyday at a younger and younger age. Our country’s report card on health is an F all the way when you compare it to the cost of healthcare! With the health of our country in such shambles it would seem that wellness network marketers would have an endless amount of prospects just waiting for them to tell them how to get healthy.

It is true that the market for wellness products is vast. The type of prospect you are looking for to grow your wellness network marketing business is different than you might think.

Do you talk to unhealthy prospects first?

Many wellness network marketers write down a list of their sick friends to tell them about their new wellness product that will change their life. The problem with focusing on sickness is that now your prospect wants you to be a doctor. They say things like, “I have this, what should I take, or what kind of results have people with this kind of illness had.” These types of issues force you to take a role you are not trained to handle. These are questions for a healthcare provider not a wellness network marketer.

3 Things You Don’t Know About Wellness Shower Filters

Wellness Shower FiltersI had not heard of wellness shower filters until a year or so ago when I was researching the quality of tap water. Once I understood the need for filtering our bathing water as well as our drinking and cooking water, I installed water filters immediately. I can’t believe the difference those things have made in my quality of life!

In case you’ve not thought about wellness shower filters, either, let me share with you three things that I learned. You may know these things. I didn’t, however, and I was astounded when I learned them.

Before we got shower filters, I had been filtering our drinking and cooking water for some time. My wife and I are middle-aged and we have two young children. So, we have a vested interest in taking care of our health as best as possible.

We decided to get filters for our drinking and cooking water when we learned about a few recent studies of American municipal water systems.

One study was of 29 U. S. cities where they found out that the water supplies of all 29 cities had traces of at least one pesticide in them. Several of the cities had two, and one even had three!

Wellness-What Does It Mean For You?

WellnessWellness is the buzz word on everybody’s lips.

There has been many books written on wellness and the wellness revolution that will be a trillion dollar industry, some say we have a wellness war occurring, but what does it mean in relation to you.

Wellness can mean a healthy balance of the mind, body and spirit that gives an overall feeling of well-being, or according to medicine it refers to the state of being healthy and disease free.

Total well-being programs cover fitness, nutrition and personal development of the participant and usually provide information and tools to assist with the physical, intellectual, social, spiritual and emotional areas in ones life.

Just as all of the aspects in a total well-being program are important to everyone so is Financial Wellness.

6 Elements of Wellness

Elements of WellnessWe often feel that if we are not ill then we have wellness. I personally believe that there is more to wellness than just not being sick. First believe me that I really do not know everything, we’ll leave that for the teenagers. The following article is more about the way I view life and the way I view Wellness. It is virtually all my opinion and you are free to agree or disagree with all or part, but if it makes you think about your own wellness and helps you evaluate your own elements of wellness then it is well worth it.

When I speak of wellness I speak of more than just having a healthy body. True wellness to me includes balance in the following six elements.

First is Fitness. That is physical fitness or we could say physical wellness. How well are you physically? The terms wellness and fitness are sometimes used interchangeably. I would definitely disagree with that. You can have a person that is very fit but quite unhealthy. I read not long ago where a pro basketball player who was extremely physically fit died on the court because he had a heart condition. I would say that a person with a heart condition does not fit being well. He had fitness but not wellness.

You cannot however have wellness without at least some amount of fitness. That does not mean that you have to be able to run a marathon, play pro basketball or even ride a bicycle 100 miles in a day as I often do. That simply means you have to be fit enough to get your through a normal workday. There are many that have trouble doing that, people with what is known as fibromyalgia or those with chronic fatigue syndrome often have a great deal of problem just making it through the day.

Discover Ancient Secrets to Health and Wellness - Ayurveda

health and wellness - AyurvedaAyurveda is a system of medicine that originated in India several thousand years ago.

It is based on ways to prevent, manage, or treat health problems by keeping the body in balance. This is accomplished by cleansing the body of substances which cause disease, strengthening the constitution and immune system, eliminating the mental causes of disease, and keeping the life-essence and energy systems flowing smoothly.

Ayurveda aims to integrate and balance the body, mind, and spirit (it can be viewed as “holistic”).

Although Ayurveda has been the main system of health care in India for thousands of years, conventional (Western) medicine is becoming more widespread there, especially in urban areas. About 70 percent of India’s population lives in rural areas; about two-thirds of rural people still use Ayurveda and medicinal plants to meet their primary health care needs. In addition, most major cities have an Ayurvedic college and hospital. Ayurveda and variations of it have also been practiced for centuries in Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Tibet.

Health and Wellness Tourism in India

India wellness tourismIndia offers their visitors access to some of the world’s highest-qualified professionals and top-class biomedical facilities, offering world-class health care in facilities that vary in size from small, specialized clinics to large hospitals. Britain’s “The Telegraph” newspaper reported that 150,000 medical tourists travel to India each year, and that in response, authorities there are in the process of introducing a system of medical visas to streamline visitors’ entry. The Confederation of Indian Industry released a study in August 2006 forecasting that medical tourists will contribute $5 billion to the country’s economy.

Those in search of advanced medical care find that, in India, health care prices are competitive with world markets, and that it’s easy to schedule procedures. As the CII study asserts, “heart surgery in the US costs $30,000, while it costs $6,000 in India.” While each patient’s charges differ, in general, the difference in costs varies between one-fifth to one-twenty. Certain surgeries and orthopedic procedures (such as hip resurfacing) not provided in North American hospitals, are available in India.

Setting Goals to Achieve Improved Health and Wellness

health and wellnessThe importance of health and wellness is understood by most people. However, it can be difficult to make comprehensive changes in one’s life that will result in optimal wellness. Setting goals and making incremental adjustments is often the best way to produce changes that will truly transform your life.

To begin making positive changes in your life, it is first important to have a strong desire for better health. This desire should come from within and should not be based on fear. A strong, positive desire to be healthier will provide the motivation needed to make positive changes.

In addition, it is important to truly believe that you can achieve better health and wellness. If you start out setting goals without truly believe that you can accomplish them, you only set yourself up for failure before you even begin. Believe you can do it.

Begin first by writing your goals down on paper. The act of writing down your goals makes them concrete. Be specific about what you would like to accomplish and how reaching those goals will change your life for the better. Once you have written down your goals, place them in a prominent location where you will be certain to see them on a regular basis. This will provide you the inspiration and motivation you need each day to accomplish your goals. Review the statements you have written several times each day.

26 Words to Wellness

wellnessNever were there more true words to live by. If the world simply lived by the serenity prayer, it would be a perfect place.

Now, first, let’s make this prayer more user-friendly to all - regardless of your religious or spiritual belief. Let’s make this the God of our understanding, whatever that may be.

Moving right along, with that in mind, we can pull apart the Serenity Prayer, and look at how well it sums up the healthiest mindset.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change-

Serenity, being the first key word here, can be hard to achieve when we are in pain and distress. We must find a way to quiet our minds and to be calm if we want to be able to think clearly. Prayer and meditation are two things that can help with this process.

Acceptance, the next key word, truly is the first and foremost important thing we can achieve in life; especially when we want to heal from grief. We cannot change people, places and things. Wow, that’s just about everything! What does that not cover?

Basically, ourselves.

Big Island, Hawaii Promotes Health & Wellness Travel

wellness travelBecause of the rise in wellness tourism business owners on the Big Island of Hawaii have got together to promote a travel initiative that they collectively hope will prove so successful that it will eventually be adopted by the rest of the state.

The Hawaii Island Wellness Travel Association, composed of 120 business owners and holistic professionals, has set up a meeting with both the Big Island Visitors Bureau and Hawaii County officials to take the initiative further at which they hope to agree marketing strategies, develop effective packaging and adopt a set of rules for health and wellness travel to Hawaii, which they regard as a booming business.

As recently as 2005 almost $50,000 was set aside by Hawaii Tourism Authority to be used to quantify how well wellness tourism could be developed in the archipelago. A leading research company was approached to produce a comprehensive study of the health and wellness tourism market for the state of Hawaii. However, significant progress stalled once the report had been produced, and only now, some two years later, is the idea being re-launched.

Wellness Incentive Programs

Wellness Incentive ProgramsWhen an employee is sick or injured, many times it has a direct affect on an employer’s cost of health care, disability, worker’s compensation, increased absenteeism, lower productivity, reduced safety and morale. The object of an employee incentive wellness program is to improve the health of a company’s workers and to improve its productivity. This type of program helps ensure consistency with an employer’s long-term strategy on health care management. It aids in forming the framework for effective wellness, health improvement and care management programs.

Wellness incentive programs need close coordination by a company’s human resource department; otherwise these programs are less effective. If there is no coordination or follow-up, it is difficult to measure outcomes and performance. The best incentive programs work on a collaborative approach between the health management company and the employer. The goal is to find cost-effective solutions to meet budget needs and reinforce them by performance-based service guarantees. The bottom line is the employer wants to see reduced health care spending and show a return on the health management investment, as well as improvement in the health of employees.

Health & Wellness in Businesses Around the World - An Equine Perspective

Wellness in BusinessA senior executive from a highly successful and dynamic organization stands in the centre of the small wooden enclosure as her 4-legged teacher stares out across the fields. Distracted by the feed bucket that is passing and various movements around the enclosure, what will compel these two learning partners to join up and begin the dance of relationship? The facilitator asks “imagine that this is the workplace and Lotta* is a member of your team, how will you motivate her to want to be lead by you? What kind of relationship would you want to create in order to build trust and connection? How could authentic leadership guide you in this situation?” The two-legged student responds by saying “actually she does remind me of many of my team members. She is strong and independent and traditional way of motivation might not work. I think she is too smart for that. I am not exactly sure what will work, but I am willing to try and step outside of my comfort zone and see if she responds to me if I move towards her.” As the student moves into Lotta’s space, there is a noticeable and immediate connection between the two of them. Both sigh and relax, breathing together.

This situation is one of many experienced by leaders and team members around the world as Equine/horse Guided Education supports humans in their quest for moving to a more authentic place within themselves. Expanding our thinking about the role that animals play in helping us to become more healthy is rapidly spreading around the world. Since the early 1950’s, horses have traditionally been engaged in therapeutic riding programs to help those with physical disabilities and since the early 70’s, mental health facilities and practitioners have partners with horses in creating major breakthroughs for trauma survivors, abuse victims and emotionally damaged people. Over the past 10-15 years, various forms of equine guided education, equine guided psychotherapy and equine guided coaching are becoming more widely accepted as viable and highly successful in supporting businesses in leaders, teams and individuals in their quest for healthy workplaces.

Wellness and Recovery

Wellness and RecoveryAs you may be aware you are not the only one who has ever hid empty wine or liquor bottles in cupboards you know your spouse doesn’t go in. Maybe you missed a job opportunity because you failed a drug test. In The United States, as far back as 2004, it was estimated that five to ten percent of the population were addicted to alcohol and/or other drugs.

That is also believed to be a conservative figure because of the staggering prescription drug abuse that often goes unreported. That’s 30 million people driving on our roads, working in all kinds of positions, some of them sensitive in nature. It’s a little frightening. I used to be one of them. Perhaps it’s better said “I am one of them, however, I have chosen not to engage in that activity anymore.” I’m in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction (chemical dependency, substance abuse, or whichever synergistic label applies today.)

It is not my intention to fill your mind with endless blather about psycho-babble; but rather to point out the obvious, drugs are bad… OK? One aspect of the detrimental effects of prolonged addiction (yes, this is how I talk and write) is the myriad of physical consequences brought upon the human body by abuse. I won’t lay out the laundry list in its entirety, but just to be reasonably informative, on the off chance there is a reader who has been locked in a closet wearing a blindfold, earplugs, and in a state of absolute delusion, it is extremely likely that your liver is damaged.

Wellness For Domestic Violence Survivors - The Importance of Balancing Rest and Activity

Balancing activity and restBalancing activity and rest sounds so simple, yet is extremely significant to our well-being and proper functioning. I see domestic violence survivors often ignore this. Doing so compounds their stress.

Domestic Violence and Ignoring Personal Maintenance

Now, I don’t honestly believe that their having been exposed to domestic violence is the cause for not being vigilant about balancing activity and rest. I think it has more to do with the habits they have acquired along the way.

If you’re accustomed to the world revolving around another person, you loss sight of your own internal clock. And if you believe that you are second to this “other person,” then you may even be accustomed to denying the internal signals that come your way.

Some people may even tell you this is a social cultural male-female stereo-type tradition. I believe the conditioning of, and in, abusive relationships is a significant factor for domestic abuse survivors.

Genetics, Marketing Trends and the Wellness Revolution

genetics and wellnessAccording to research, Genomics is currently a $12-15 billion dollar industry and is projected to be a $25 billion dollar industry by the end of 2010!

Neutri-Genomics, the science of nutrition and genetics, is fast becoming the new norm in dietary supplementation and will take over the lead role in the wellness industry as more people grasp the significance of personalized nutrition in their lifestyle.

Approximately 1/7 of the US economy today, which is about $1.4 trillion is devoted to the health care business. By the year 2012 that number is expected to explode close to $4 trillion. What does all this means to you?

There is much fear in the wellness industry in recent years. As baby-boomers start reaching retirement years they are faced with a very bleak healthcare future. Many of them have limited resources to fall back on in their retirement years — and although there have been major improvements in medicine, many will not be able to take advantage of this because they cannot afford it.

So, is neutri-genomics the silver lining behind this dark cloud? Can neutri-genomics provide that much needed stability for the aging boomers healthcare plight?

The Term “Wellness” To Your Body

health and wellnessThe term “wellness‘ has often been understood as the absence of illness or disease. However, many people fail to realize that like illness, there are many degrees of wellness. A person who is healthy may still be bored, depressed, tense, anxious or simply unhappy with their lives. Hence, wellness is not a static state and does not automatically mean that a person is only healthy. In general, wellness encompasses good physical health and the feeling of happiness and satisfaction. In wellness, the efficient and smooth flow of energy is important to your mind, body and spirit.

Your emotional wellness (emotional state) can influence your physical wellness (physical health) and vice versa. What is a Financial Wellness Coach

Financial Wellness CoachFirst let us get clear what a financial coach is not. They are not a financial planner or a CPA; basically what they do is give direction and a plan to find financial wellness for your mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.

Stress and anxiety are two of the main causes from financial worries, and this is the main reason that it is important to get your emotions in balance even if your finances are out of balance. It is almost impossible to take care of financial issues until you get your stress and anxiety into manageable position.

A good place to start is to get a clear picture of your financial situation, and sometimes this seems overwhelming and not surmountable; this is where the financial wellness coach can help you balance this all out and give you step-by-step instructions and encouragement.

Many times it is impossible for spouses and partners to work together on these financial issues as they seem almost to big for them to deal with, and there are so many mixed emotions that they each carry with them individually to be able to work on them together. That is why it is a good idea to have a third impartial party to assist them and to get them started so they can understand that they are not bad or did something so desperately wrong.
